The world’s first n-type plastic transistor which enables large flexible displays to be created, impossible with existing silicon transistors was recorded in 2005 during a joint collaboration by Asst Prof Peter Ho and Chua Lay Lay of NUS; Sir Richard Friend, a British plastic electronics guru at Cambridge University; and Prof Chua Soo Jin, a director of the Institute of Materials Research and Engineering. |
