The Army Museum of Singapore is to open in end 2007. Designed by the Defence Science and Technology Agency, the S$8.8 million museum sits by a lake in Upper Jurong Road, next to SAFTI Military Institute and Singapore Discovery Centre. The three-storey museum will trace the republic’s army history from two infantry battalions to a high-tech force, and will honour Singaporeans who have completed or are doing National Service.
