These three vessels were re-commissioned in 1967 to bear the RSS (Republic of Singapore Ship) prefix, the RSS Singapura, which was a former Japanese mine-layer the RSS Panglima, the RSS Bedok and the Wakataka, which the British had converted for use and renamed the Laburnum. This was presented to the Singapore Naval Volunteer Force (SNVF) and berthed at Telok Ayer Basin.
