In the Singapore leg of the F1 In-Schools competition on 26 Jul 2006, the car built by the Alpha Matrix team of Tampines Secondary School clocked 1.150 sec over a distance of 20m. It also won the best-engineered car award. The school was the overall champion for 2005 when the competition started, as well as for 2006. F1 In- Schools is an international competition opened to secondary schools, to design and manufacture CO2-powered model racing cars. The car should have a minimum weight of 55g. |
