Sultan Mosque is the largest mosque in Singapore and has the capacity to accommodate up to 5,000 Muslims in congregational prayers. It has a massive golden dome and huge prayer hall. The original mosque was built with the help of a $3,000 grant from Stamford Raffles in 1824-1826. The new building was completed in 1928. |
