Denis Lian became the first Singaporean to win an international motor sport title in 2002 when he won the Asian Formula 2000 Series. He was the first to compete in Europe when he participated in the Formula Palmer Audi Euroseries in 2005. He had also competed in the 2006/2007 A1 Grand Prix, World Cup of Motorsports.
