The first goal of the S-League was scored by Balestier Central’s Bosnian import, Esad Sedjic, against Police Football Club on 20 Apr 1996, at the Toa Payoh Stadium. Sedjic also scored the first hat trick of the S-League on 23 Apr 1996 against Sembawang Rangers.
