Name Youngest To Play For National Team

Data Info Fandi Ahmad was the youngest player to play for the national team when he joined in 1978 at the age of 16. His lead role in the Malaysia Cup in 1980 gained a victory for Singapore. He played with the national team in the 1983, 1985 and 1989 SEA Games, winning a silver at each game. He was captain of the national team from 1993 to 1997 and also captain of Geylang United in which he helped to win the inaugural S-League title in 1996. When he moved to captain the SAFFC, the team won the S-League title in 1997 and 1998.
