At Celebration on 9 Aug 2005, 5,000 residents donned red or white T-shirts and caps. Even the chairs were in red or white. The ‘state flag’ performed specially choreographed movements to augment the singing of Singapore songs. The event was held on 9 Aug 2005 at the open field opposite Northpoint Shopping Centre.
