Data Info |
The Amazing Wheelchair Race, which was held on 3 Sep 2006 with 150 tertiary students from various institutions, was inspired by the television reality series The Amazing Race. The first of its kind, it involved 38 pairs of non-wheelchair users playing the roles of wheelchair user and caregiver. The teams had to complete daily tasks such as grocery shopping and borrowing books from the library at five pit stops. Organised by the Society for the Physically Disabled and students from NTU School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, this race aimed to understand how wheelchair users get around. |
