In 1951, six men from the Kong Chow Lion Dance Troupe formed the tallest human column in a lion dance performance. Their combined height was approximately 33 ft above the ground. Except for the one at the top, each man stood on the shoulders of the person below to form a column, supported by a pole at the bottom. The feat was part of a lion dance routine, known as Gao Jing (Plucking the Greens From a Height). |
