The Dubai Mall, developed by Emaar Properties, cover a total area of 12 million sq ft, is the biggest shopping mall in the world. To be opened in 2008, it will house 15 sub-malls, 1,000 stores, a skating rink, an aquarium, and the planet's biggest gold market. It is designed by DP Architects of Singapore.
