This made Singapore the first country to breed Asian Arowana in captivity. Although trading in arowanas is disallowed, in 1994, through a decade of perseverance and continuous effort, Singapore became the first in having its farm granted by CITES to trade in all the variety of the captive-bred second filial generation (F2) Asian Arowana. |
