In Jul 2006, Central Singapore CDC launched the Orange Ribbon Celebrations. This was the first month-long campaign to raise the awareness of racial harmony in Singapore. A total of 300,000 orange ribbon collar pins were distributed to residents in the Central Singapore District and they were encouraged to wear them throughout the month.
