The NUS FSAE Race Car, Centennial II, was placed 27th out of 140 in overall rankings in the International Formula Society of Automotive Engineers (FSAE) race, held in Michigan, USA, in May 2006. It was the top team from Asia and tied for ninth place in the world for overall design.
The car, built by 12 NUS students in six months, can race at speeds of 175 kph. It can rev at 11,000 rpm and is capable of reaching 0-100 kph in 4.3 sec. |
