950 people from three community centres and five secondary schools set the record for the largest number of people working on Singapore’s first large-scale all-weather rangoli measuring 24m by 6.6m. Led by Mrs Vijaya Mohan, a renowned expert in rangoli art, the work was commissioned by the Esplanade and supported by the Central CDC. It was also exhibited in the open at the Esplanade on 11 Nov-4 Dec 2005. |
