Duan Yongjun first donned Singapore colours at the 1999 SEA Games. He won gold medal in the Commonwealth Championships Mixed Doubles and a bronze medal at the SEA Games in 2001. He went on to win gold medals in the Commonwealth Masters’ Men’s Singles, SEA Games’ Men’s Doubles, Commonwealth Championships’ Mixed Doubles and SEA Championships’ Men’s Team, Singles and Doubles. Li Jiawei partnered with Duan Yongjun to win the silver in the Mixed Doubles competition in the 2001 SEA Games. The pair peaked to win the gold in the 2002 Commonwealth Games held at Manchester. Jiawei also won the gold in the Women’s Team and Doubles competitions at the 2002 Games. |
