Hyflux Ltd built and operates Singapore’s biggest desalination plant. The S$200 million desalination plant opened in September 2004 is the world’s largest plant using reverse osmosis technology. Singapore can now pump out 136,000 cubic metres of water a day, meeting about 10 per cent of its daily water needs. Hyflux has expanded abroad and is winning contracts in the Middle East, China, and India. |
