On 5-6 Jan 2006, staff and students of Temasek Polytechnic ran the greatest cumulative distance ever covered - 14,023.6 km in 24 hr on the stadium running track. The event was also in support of paraplegic Dr William Tan who completed 660 laps in 24 hr using a handcycle at the Polytechnic’s sports stadium at the same time.
