Hougang Community Club, together with 12 participating schools produced Singapore’s largest pledge card measuring 9.264m by 7.144m. The card was to show the importance of grandparenting to the 5,000 people who turned up at the Inter-Generational Bonding event on 27 Mar 2005. From 17 Feb to 23 Mar, students from 12 schools signed and wrote personal messages on separate paperboards, which were finally assembled together. The schools were Holy Innocents Primary, Holy Innocents High, Punggol Primary, Punggol Secondary, Hougang Secondary, North Vista Secondary, Bowen Secondary, Seragoon Secondary, Monfort Secondary, Zhonghua Secondary, Deyi Secondary and Serangoon Junior College. |
