Kong Meng San Phor Kark See Monastery, which is founded in 1921 has a land area of about 75,470 sq metres. It is also equivalent to about 10.7 football fields. Spread over a hillside, this complex of Buddhist temples is one of the largest places of worship in Singapore. The buildings feature fine examples of Chinese decorations, statues and shrines. A large turtle pool, peaceful gardens and the constant hum of prayer add to the air of tranquillity. |
