The first civilians to parachute through the city night skies landed at the Padang on 20 Apr 2005. The dive, conducted by Aerial Trendz, came from a drop altitude of 5,000 feet. There were one flag jumper and five skydivers. 1,300 Japanese women witnessed the event which was part of an incentive tour for staff of a Japanese luxury clothes company.
