Monks of the Golden Pagoda Buddhist Temple created the world’s largest sand painting, measuring 12.24m by 12.24m at the Singapore Expo on 15-22 May 2004. The painting, a multi-coloured mandala, was erased shortly after its completion as a symbol of the impermanence of life.
