Most number of different dishes in a buffet - Editorial

Chef’s rolled up their sleeves and whipped up 510 fabulous international dishes for 4,000 guests. Dishes served up included Thai, Japanese, Indian, Malay, Chinese and Western cuisine. Some mouth watering delights featured in the day-long food festival – in which lunch and dinner was served - were chicken Masala (Indian Menu), Kashmiri Pulao (rice with fruit and nuts from the vegetarian menu), Mee goreng (Malay menu), roast lamb, lobster, pasta (Western menu), amazing deserts including chocolate mousse, muffins, fruit and cheese amongst others.

All proceeds from ticket sales amounting to $102,000 went to 14 local charities. Beneficiaries of the fundraiser included the Assisi Home & Hospice, the Children’s Cancer Foundation, the Chen Su Lan Methodist Children’s Home, Handicaps Welfare Association, Children’s Charities Association and Kidney Dialysis Foundation.
