PETER GILCHRIST BROKE WORLD RECORD

On the first day of the New Zealand Open Billiards Championships at the Hamilton Cosmopolitan Club on 6 Oct 2007, Peter Gilchrist shot a break of 1346, easily surpassing the previous world record of 1246. Gilchrist also created another world record with only four visits to the table for an average per visit of 426, against the previous best of 243.

Gilchrist was elated with the break, saying that his previous highest break was 917. Borned in UK, he was the 2003 World Professional Billiards Championship Runner-up before coming to Singapore.
